As we age, a majority of us are concerned that our joints will not allow us to maintain an active life. A large proportion would seem to prefer to rely on a natural solution to any perceived future concern. Rose Hip extract is rich in vitamin C and carotenoids including beta-carotene, Lycopene and Lutein. It is also a source of flavanoids and fatty acids and has subsequently been used to help with a wide variety of concerns, commonly as a general tonic and more recently, for joint concerns.
Rose hip extract was traditionally used during WW2 to provide Vitamin C, which was needed especially by children. The blockade of imports during that time meant that oranges were rarely available. The Rosehips were gathered and converted into the famous Rose Hip Syrup. The rose hips were also used to make a herbal tea. Their use has once again returned it to popularity.
